2nd. Lübeck Conference on Applied Ecohydrology
On the 8th of July 2025 at TH Lübeck the 2nd conference on Applied Ecohydrology took place. The conference is an event where Water Engineering Master students and students of the European Joint Master of Applied Ecohydrology present the work that they have carried out within the World of Work module. This module involves field trips organized by professors of TH Lübeck teaching in the Water Engineering Master and in the Master of Applied Ecohydrology. Prof. Dr. Edgar Nehlsen, Prof. Dr. Christoph Külls, Prof. Dr. Norbert Reintjes, Prof. Dr. Philipp Zantout Wilfert and Prof. Dr. Kai Wellbrock have organized field trips covering applied water topics in Schleswig-Holstein ranging from renaturation or rewilding of rivers (Schwartau river), restoration of lakes and wetlands (Lake Ratzeburg and Wakenitz), monitoring and using algae in sustainable resource cycles, analysing sedimentation of lakes and monitoring emerging micro-pollutants. The students presented their work at the end of their master semester at TH Lübeck.
