The monitoring of hydrological phenomena starts with the measurement of meteorological parameters. Temperature, humidity, wind speed, short and long wave radiation provide information on the input of energy and water to the water cycle. The laboratory for hydrology measures precipitation and climate parameters at the TH Lübeck campus and at the port of Lübeck.
