Discharge is measured at the gauging station Niemarker Landgraben. This gauging station defines the discharge from an 18.9 km² basin that has a partly degraded peatland in its headwater area (Krummessere Moor). At the gauging station water levels are measured automatically and discharge measurements are carried out to maintain and update a gauging curve.
